I was tapped by Doug Smith to co-chair the placemaking and marketing committee. This was one of eleven committees made up of 110 leaders to create a regional plan to rebuild and recover in a post-COVID economy.
Placemaking is composed of amenities, access, and ease of living in an area i.e. affordable housing, workforce opportunities, education, and internet. Place marketing is the shared story and “buzz” as a result of these features.
